they have a website with an online contact form, an email address and a phone number you can call. plus each local store has a phone number listed

why do you need to go through geekzone as opposed to the other methods?

@Batman NikT has PM's turned off for that reason - this isn't an official support medium for PB. He sometimes chimes in however. I'll flick him a message now.

Unfortunately, the online support isn't the best. I contacted PB Tech last week regarding discounts being unavailable on my account and even after attempting to clarify the situation, I still don't really know what the situation is. PB are running sales again, so I expect the pricing levels would have been restored to pre-Covid levels. It appears that until the stores open up again and I can talk to the people I regularly deal with, I won't be able to buy anything.

yep I'd agree with the issues with communication with PBTech.  I bought a logitech multi-device keyboard once essential deliveries where allowed to occur.  It has now stopped working and instead randomly does character presses including lots of spaces and making the page/screen/document try and scroll to the bottom at all times.

I've attempted to get some form of response over how I can return it but no reply... I've got my older crappy keyboard for now that is just about working but its not easy as you can't simply pop in and talk to someone either!

Morning mate,

I've opened my PMs for the day, drop me a line and I'll get you in touch with the right people.

Happy to help anyone else as and when I can, too - for the record I keep PMs closed because I have spent enough time in customer-facing roles to care deeply about providing a reasonable level of comms. My PM role and workload get fairly intense and I can't always guarantee that I'll have the resource on any given day/week/month to meet my standards in that department, making the dedicated channels the better first choice. websales@pbtech.co.nz is the go-to inbox.

There's currently hundreds of folks who usually work in retail and other departments answering online chats / emails, hitting all-time highs in daily stats - most pressing issue right now being Courierpost's substantial backlog. These are of course interesting times, I and the team greatly appreciate everyone bearing with us under the circumstances.

Cheers,

Where is the online chat function? It seems to have been removed leaving only the form to submit a query which has a 24 hour response time.

@MadEngineer Directly on their homepage. Good thing about ad blockers is it often blocks other elements on sites also.

Ah that’s it - work Adblock hides it.

Here is a recount of my latest interaction with PBTech:

- Ordered an item online with bank a/c payment, transferred the money

- In a few days status did not change so used online chat. The guy said "I'm working from home and does not have access to any system, I'll open a ticket for you"

- Got the ticket by email

- In a few days no reply

- Then status changed to paid

- Next day got courier tracking number

- Two days later delivered; ticket never answered, no live person contacted or emailed me.

I feel that they are very busy and do not expend their energy to answering when they think that there is nothing wrong with the order (slow being normal).

Contrary to OP, I made 2 purchases in the last week.

Opened webchat - first purchase (2nd day they opened) it took me 15mins but second purchase took me less than 2 mins to get someone on the line. Made the purchase. Picked up in 30-40mins. My friend however bought something online, was coming from NI to SI and it took just over a week but that I'd say is due to courier delays.
