Get into office, find a couple of courier boxes on my desk, addressed to us.

Open first one.... yup, cables I ordered.

Pick up second one.... extremely light. Give it a shake. Can't hear anything. Maybe a license.

Open it up and....

What have I just let escape ?

The internet ? Some wifi ? Someones order of air from Ingram ? Invisible gnome ?

Schrödinger's cat ? Altho I'd expect to find some evidence of that.... shouldn't I ?

xpd: Schrödinger's cat ?

Too late, you've opened the box. You'll never know now.

After receiving complaints about lost shipments the sender has sent you an empty parcel to facilitate tracking. Your order has arrived safe and sound.

An extra shipping label was printed.
Not allowed to dispose of the extra shipping label without justification, perhaps to prevent fraudulent activities, and requires supervisory signatures.

So rather than disposing the label, easier just to slap it on an empty box and allow it be processed as per normal.

It’s your free christmas gift for spending X amount.

it is the spirit of Christmas !

(and possibly a new box to fit the newly acquired Christmas decorations coming your way….because we all know we’ve been using the same old manky box for decades and it just gets stuffed with more every year)
