I don't have freeview, but I was wondering if there were any science/technology programmes on it (or on the analogue channels that I might have missed). Currently there don't seem to be any freely available programmes. Thanks.

TVNZ7 are (or were) running something from Aussie that's the replacement for the old Beyond 2000.

Can't remember what it's called or what day it's on.

BBC world i think still shows some science/ Technology programs but not much use as its on early morning there is a lot of documentaries streamed on the net you could watch

BBC World's Technology programme is called CLICK and it first screens at 7:30am on Fridays. There are many repeats during the rest of the week and if you have MySky, you can record every programme in the series with just two button presses. Actually, the Series Link feature for Click only appeared last week. Until now I have had to remember to record it each week.

Click is usually well worth watching, even if Kate Russell's Webscape segment often wastes time on worthless web sites.

but the video quality is pretty awful.

Thanks for the replies, it looks like it's not worth getting Freeview at the moment. I'll check and see what's being shown now and then to see if anything changes.

$200 - $300 for a freeview box is, IMHO, well worth it if for no other reason you get to see a wide screen pictue - assuming you have a wide screen tv of course. But more on that at the Freeview thread

TVNZ6 do run Science Shack regularly which is good when you can catch it, despite its age.
