Ok so last week i purchased a Ps3 from trademe. It was advertised as coming with a game (COD 4), a controller and a one year warranty. It also stated that all cables are included apart from HDMI.
Well I received it over a week later and it was without the game. I emailed them straight away telling them about the lack of a game and they emailed back saying that no the game was definitely there and pretty much intimating that i was a liar. After 5 or 6 emails back and forth with them telling me that they definitely sent they game they finally admitted that they had made a mistake and hadn't sent the game. Frustrating!
But that wasn't the only problem!
I had my doubts on the validity of the warranty so i rang up fixtronics (because the piece of paper I had as a warranty was actually a customer service report as the owners previous Ps3 had died.) They told me that the warranty was only valid for another 3 months! Not ONE YEAR like advertised!
The next problem was the controller. After hiring out a game to see if the machine worked properly I discovered that every time the dual shock activated in a game the signal from the Ps3 to the controller would disconnect and I would have to press the middle button to reconnect every time! This was never mentioned either so it's blatant false advertising.
After listing all these problems through emails back and forth the seller is not budging insisting that they have done everything right and tells me that Trademe has advised them to block my email which of course is a load of rubbish because trademe advised me to take them to the disputes tribunal.
I hear that can take up to 3 months though! Any advice? Surely i'm in the right here considering that they have falsely advertised. Reading through some of their feedback it appears that they have done the same thing before to other buyers.
