quickymart: I've also noticed I lose connectivity to anything on my local network when this happens, sigh...
Right, fault logged with Netcomm. Let's see what they say (posting from Vodafone 3G - at least that works reliably!)
Home ADSL: School:

quickymart: Still getting intermittent drop outs...wife was trying to watch a streaming video on her iPhone this morning over wifi and just lost all connectivity. I logged into the desktop (connected via ethernet) and it all worked for me. Powercycled the router and everything came back to life.
Anyone else still getting this happening?
alexj: I would say my Netcomm NF4V is stable

What firmware version are you using?
Software Version:
GURNV5.OT132A-8-NC.AU-R5B019.EN
PBTech said they couldn't simply swap it out, I think they require something from Netcomm first, and they would need to send it away and test it before doing anything. So I'm not sure what I can do.
Athlonite: I would say that if the new firmware does not fix the problem then you have a faulty device and it needs to be returned
I have also found that not using my ISP's DNS servers is the best thing I've done I use OpenDNS servers : 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222
