Alright so an update on the saga, no progress has been made.
However, we are now dealing with a "service delivery manager" who has asked for photos of the areas that need sorting... *sigh* wouldn't this have been part of the initial scope and design work?!
So I have put together a little document (almost to Chorus work order specs! haha) with pretty red lines, and where they should put things. For the lol's here is a link to see what I have provided. Let's see what happens.
But again, wouldn't you think that was part of this design that took a month to get done?
i think this needs to go back to the design team.
preparations need to be taken so the fibre doesn't get peed on!
Probably about 5 months to design that solution for you as you have missed it yourself.

Cbfd: You do know you can get the ABF tube and Internal ABF tubes from either chorus themselves or through any good electrical store and install all the stuff that is required for them to complete the gibbing and concrete install
Yep that would be great. Except the area in question is out the front of the building where the 50mm duct exits. There is no pit, fat, etc to run it to.
While we appreciate that it can take some time to complete build work for a new development, we must make sure that all design plans and details are correct and signed off by Network delivery specialists before the build can take place.
As mentioned in this discussion, this infrastructure project is one of largest undertaken in New Zealand so naturally comes with a unique set of challenges.
With 500-600 installs per day being completed currently, we do need to make sure all orders are treated fairly so that all concerned parties are on an equal playing field. It’s not a matter of quick easy money, it’s a matter of whether it would unfairly disadvantage someone else. The large scope of the project does mean that on rare occasion things can go by the wayside or a more tailored approach is needed. We have official channels in place to cater to this and escalate if needed. In regards to your query about the requirement of a second scope before the installation is completed, yes, a second scope is required after MDU build is done. The first scope is to determine how to build fibre to the entire MDU. Once that is completed Chorus then performs a scope for every connection order placed inside that MDU to ensure the final installation of fibre in to each unit is also tailored to whatever unique requirements each unit may have.

Holding up pouring the concrete? You mean for the duct coming in from the street? Anything else should be in a riser that allows for future adds and changes... I know... the architects never seem to think about future maintenance of their shiny new buildings, especially cathedral ceilings with services jammed into a tight space above the ceiling tiles do make my life difficult sometimes. Cabling feeding multiple users should be in a locked cupboard instead of "hidden" in the walls.
Time to find a new industry!
