@sparkz25 as is quite clearly written in the highlighted section that is the requirement for work done on council berm and roadways, not inside individual premises.
I’ve said before, this page on the chorus website: https://www.chorus.co.nz/help-and-support/digging/what-trenching is aimed at developers or homeowners who want the Fibre cable run through additional mechanical protection. It details the standards for running your own green PVC conduit that our technicians can haul the Fibre cables through.
@iwanttobeamole running microduct under pavers or stones is a different set of requirements again. If those are pavers for a path that will only get foot traffic then its fine. However if this is done in a shared driveway where vehicles are likely to drive over them we would expect it to be trenched as well.
If you could send us a DM with your address. I would like to look into this further.
@Jase2985 no two jobs are the same and as such there is no single piece of documentation that defines the requirements for our technicians to follow. You have taken the details on our website out of context which is why they don’t align with what I have written. This is why we don’t provide the full documentation on our website. Because it would A) be long winded and B) be easily taken out of context.
We do have processes in place to ensure installs are done to standard. However we complete hundreds of installs a day and cannot be everywhere. So if anyone is unhappy with the work done they can raise an issue with us or their broadband provider and we can follow up to ensure its been done to standard. ^Richard
