An option Chorus have suggested is to underground thrust a conduit under my concrete for a fibre duct... Anyone know any company would do conduit thrusting for a private property in Hawkes Bay?

This would mean that the street duct and my property duct would end up being all underground.

If I surface mount a conduit on my concrete, the street fibre duct and my property duct would join above ground around my boundary and still be tacked to fence timbers/post to allow for the required duct bend radius.

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.

I don't personally know of a company that can do that type of work in your area, but most larger urban centres should have at least one such specialist. Could cost you quite a few dollars however.

As for bend radius, I doubt many of the subbies employed give a crap about minimum bend radius. I've noticed a fibre install in my city where they used 20 mm pvc electrical elbows exactly like in this pic along someone's fence:

After all my worry about a robust fibre conduit installation I have decided to go with the 'Tack it to the Fence' option... and get it done :-)

If I have any short term issues with my fence I can always patch up any rails as required.

I am really disappointed that Chorus did not place the street fibre duct near my copper conduit... would have saved a lot of technical problems and made for a better install.

The design probably didn't take into account everyone's copper connection point - that would have been almost impossible to factor in.
