This is well below wholesale costs. They also claim to be offering unlimited mobile connections for $20/mth on both 2degrees and Spark. Despite all this, they are a TDR member.

Well, well.
I just received an email from this company's Chairman (according to a LinkedIn profile page with no additional information or link to any company page).
In essence, I don't think this person likes your comments folks.
Greater Bay Chairman:
I have seen the threatening statements and claims made on your platform
these have been reported to police and if your platform does not remove all statements and block the users from doing this again we will take full legal action
I read this discussion. There are no threats here. There are only opinions and questions. But it seems The Chairman is not keen on criticism.
In my opinion, this is not a company to deal with.

@Linux asked:
Linux: How are you related to the business?
The reply was:
@panda69nz: no I'm not but I am ex Call Australia staff and I have heard things
This is not true. I can say @panda69nz is linked to the company., based on the email identification data included when the message was sent to me.
In my opinion @panda69nz, is a Sock puppet account - Wikipedia and therefore not engaging in good faith.
From Wikipedia: A sock puppet is a false online identity used for deceptive purposes. The term originally referred to a hand puppet made from a sock. Sock puppets include online identities created to praise, defend, or support a person or organization, to manipulate public opinion, or to circumvent restrictions such as viewing a social media account that a user is blocked from. Sock puppets are unwelcome in many online communities and forums.
Again, in my opinion, I wouldn't touch this company or its services.

Ok, we all had our time.
I think it summarises the thread so far.

@saf, this person sent me your PII (account number and email address), which I removed from this post. The company seems to be in breach of the Privacy Act 2020. You should contact the Privacy Commission and report this breach. I can provide the email as evidence.

Remember, he now says these are 36 month contract so you would probably be on the hook for this - unless it's not explicitly stated on the pages. Remember to screenshot everything, including T&Cs.
LOL - There is nothing on the website about a 36-month term unless I am blind. Isnt there some requirement from Com Commission that services and their terms must be clearly stated in offerings to the end consumer?
There is this buried in the terms and conditions -
6.4. Our mobile phone plans (non VOIP) and services may have a minimum contract term (typically 12 months) and as such early termination fees (ETFs) may apply if the service is cancelled before this term is completed.
On the privacy side - guess they are not off to a good start -
GBGA (we, us, our) is committed to dealing with personal information in a way that meets or exceeds its privacy obligations, including under the Privacy Act 2020 (Act) and the Telecommunications Information Privacy Code 2020 (Code).
8.2. GBGA Internet is dedicated to keeping your details private. Any information, we collect in relation to you, is kept strictly secured. GBGA Internet will not review, share, distribute, or reference any such Customer Data except as may be required by law. Individual records of Customer Data may be viewed or accessed only for the purpose of resolving a problem, support issues, or suspected violation of the GBGAInternet Terms of Use or as may be required by law.

Hi Paul,
As you wouldn't let me get a word in on our phone call just now, and refused the formal request of mine via email to fully remove your unauthorised public postings of myself, I'm forced to respond here.
I'm still pretty in shock by the influx of comments and privacy breaches you've made against me this morning.
You said on the phone that I've called you a fraud, I've called you a scam, I've insulted you and made fun of a mental disorder. As asked in the phone call, where have I done this?
A public post was made about your organisation, with the public stunned by the pricing on offer. I made a legitimate order, paid in full, to provide a neutral review of if the service functioned as described, to then allow the community to either rush to signup, or steer clear. I'm a strong advocate for minority ISPs in the market, with competition and choice being at the forefront of telecommunications in New Zealand.
At no time have I made any derogatory comments against yourself, or your business. Is this really how you treat a customer? I've paid you money!
In response to the now very public commentary about myself:
must be funny that the founder of Vetta Group has signed up for a connection. Is Shaun Fisher worried that someone is doing something he cant do?
Absolutely not. Notwithstanding that the order I placed was with my personal information and residential address, and has no association with my business, as above, competitive choice in the market is important, and customers will make choices on their telecommunication requirements with multiple input factors, pricing being only one of them.
or is it esplonage?
Really? No.
Funny forgot about that and the fact that he is on a 36 month contract for service.
Nowhere on your website is there mention of any term contracts on your services at any point. I did not sign into a 36 month contract, and welcome evidence where my pen on paper states otherwise.
And why isn't Vetta Group and its businesses members of the TDR do they not thing its right to allow rules in the market place when it comes to clients and their rights?
Without going into detail as again, I registered as an individual, not a business entity with you, you're correct - Vetta Group is not currently a member of the TDR. We went through an extensive exercise looking at our businesses, customer makeups, lodged customer disputes and other internal metrics to determine the value proposition for joining as a TDR member, which at this point in time doesn't shape up for us.
We have a rigorous internal disputes process which is followed and audited to ensure customers are both receiving timely responses, and a fair resolution.
To question our understanding of consumer rights, while you breach my privacy under the privacy act, and your own privacy policy, is flabbergasting.
Come on someone is worried that they may low business or face harder times
Again, absolutely not. I tried to signup and provide a review for others - plain and simple.
its funny another telco owner would sign up for services from another provider. I think this is great marketing looking for to the new ad showing Mr Fisher smiling face as the customer of Greater Bay Group Aotearoa.
At no time have you requested, or gained, permission to use my identity and image for your marketing or otherwise. This is a breach of my privacy, and as in my email and phone call to you, I've repeatedly requested this to be removed from your platforms.

As for sending my personal information to external individuals, as well as using my image for your marketing from above, again I've highlighted this to you both in email and over the phone, and you repeatedly refute that you have breached any privacy. Not even looking at the Privacy Act which doesn't allow this, you've breached your own privacy policy, stating:
"8.2. GBGA Internet is dedicated to keeping your details private. Any information, we collect in relation to you, is kept strictly secured. GBGA Internet will not review, share, distribute, or reference any such Customer Data except as may be required by law. Quite honestly, I'm taken aback and haven't experienced anything like this before.
I've requested you to remove the post about me fully, you rejected. I've requested you to cancel my order, you rejected. I've requested you to delete the information you hold about me, which was ignored. You continue to steer me to your terms of service, which highlight the breaches of your own policy by your own conduct.
Out of avoidance of doubt - I have not, and do not, give any permission for you to distribute or otherwise use my personal information or image, for any purpose other than my service order - which again, I want cancelled.
Instead of simply deleting my records and parting ways, you've threatened me with legal action. Again, I highlight the only action I've taken with your business is signing up as a customer and handing over my hard earned cash to you. I've not badmouthed you, I've not blackmailed you, I've done nothing to you. Even in this post, I'm stating facts - no threats, badmouthing or otherwise like what I'm receiving from you, which I've intentionally left out of this post to try and keep aligned onto facts only.
My suggestion so far based on my experience would be that your customer onboarding journey needs some improvement.
My views are as unique as a unicorn riding a unicycle. They do not reflect the opinions of my employer, my cat, or the sentient coffee machine in the break room.
The Chairman has emailed the company I work for (not a secret; it's on my LinkedIn).
Is there a reason why your employee Mauricio Freitas is trying to rubbish my website and making false claims on this geekzone platform.
Is this so my company will hire your company to do our marketing etc.
For the record, I do not work for a marketing company. I am in a marketing role.
I guess we can add harassment to the laws The Chairman is breaking.

I have been told of some bogus submissions. While this is unproven, they claim it's coming from Geekzone users.

Do not do it.
