The Government Rural Broadband goal of 75% seems broken. The figures will be unbalanced by area's of small towns that Telecom calls rural. For example in Feilding there are parts of town that are considered as rural connections.
Areas like these population dense ones effect the percentage figures when calculating on the number of rural customers who can get faster broadband from the Government funding.
I fear these low hanging fruit will be quickly and cheaply picked so the 75% goal can be reached and the true rural customers will be left unchanged.
I wonder what percentage of towns like Feilding have customers that are labelled as rural when they live inside the town boundaries.
