My 2-3 year old Brother color laser printer started making a funny noise yesterday. I emailed Brother NZ on Sunday, who replied within an hour. They said it was a fault and asked me to call to arrange a time to service it. It has a 4 year warranty because I've only used Brother genuine toner - I'm low volume so I've only had to replace the black one once.

I called up, made arrangements, and their on-site service guy came this morning. Took him ten minutes.

From call to fix was less than 24 hours. That's impressive!

That’s the very reason I only buy brother for home. Local support and service.

We've sold Brother laser printers almost exclusively to our SMB clients with low-medium print requirements largely because of this excellent warranty support, but your example is extraordinary!

We unfortunately did have one issue around 2 years ago where the same fault occurred three times in 6 months on a 2-3 year old printer, requiring a repair technician each time.  Client was understandably getting a bit tetchy about it.  We escalated it with Brother and our client was turned back into a fan of the brand.

I recommended to a local workshop 6 years ago when they start up the biz. The proprietor rejected the brand because his brother which in IT industry for many years ( mainy server has no confidence in the brand ) and ended up with fuji xerox.

It geting harder and harder to get toners for them now. 😁
