I am helping someone to learn Excel.

I have Excel 2016 for Windows, he has Excel 2011 for Mac.

They look pretty similar, but it didn't take long to find a difference.

I can insert and delete columns/rows by selecting a column/row and pressing CTRL + or -.

He can not.

Is there a Mac equivalent or does he need to use the ribbon menu?

I tried Google but it only returned results requiring the ribbon menu.

Thanks @jamesrt , that will be very useful for all sorts of things.

It never occurred to me to just google for keyboard shortcuts, I must be losing it!
