Hello,
My computer has this problem that when it boots sometimes it just freezes. It does this during the POST after it detects my HDDs. Does anyone have any ideas? My internal specs are:
Intel Pentium E2180 2.0 GHz
Asus P5KPL-VM
2x 1GB RAM
320W Thermaltake PSU
ATI Radeon HD2600 512MB
Western Digital 500GB
Western Digital 160GB
My first thought was that some internal connector wasn't connected properly so I unplugged everything and put it all back but the problem persists. I noticed that the heat sink on my onboard graphics was quite hot, which is strange since I disabled it in my BIOS.
The only way I have found to get around this problem is, stupidly enough, to turn the computer off and shake the case. Then when I turn it back on it boots fine. This is obviously not a very good solution and I was wondering if anyone knew what could be wrong or if they had had a similar problem.
Thanks,
Arachan.
