I'm new to Geekzone and I hope this is the correct forum for this question.

I have an Axim X30 (love it) and several computers on which I have installed MS Reader.

On my laptop, running WinXP SP2, Reader works fine. Same with work computer running Win2K.

But on my home desktop, I cannot get Reader to work. I can install it and start it, but I never get past the first screen. Looking in Task Manager, I see there are 2 copies of Reader running. This has been a persistent problem for many months.

I have activated the software, and when I had trouble I looked at some forums and did what was suggested - to scan the Registry and look for any 'ebook' references. After uninstallation of Reader, there were no lingering 'ebook' references.

I am using Reader to get a shot at finally reading 'those' books - you know, the ones you said you always wanted to read? It would be easier if my home desktop could run Reader.

Thanks for taking the time to consider my silly plight.....
