Does a card reader for a p.c quicker at transfering single large files i.e like a movie on a san disk then using the usb cable.
In other words whats faster putting your san disk in a card reader for a p.c or putting your sd card into device and sending it through the small usb cable i.e active sync.

I mean using the cable for a 700meg file takes ages so i was wondering if i should invest in a card reader to transfer stuff (NOT INSTALL APPLICATION).

The transfer via a card reader will probably be faster. You can get these quite cheaply these days.

A card reader should be considerably faster as long as it uses the full USB 2.0 specification, with a top speed of 480Mbit/s. Your computer also needs to support this. When I tried out the Jasjar, I wasn't able to get anywhere near that kind of speed over its USB cable connection, so if you're going to transfer large files regularly, a memory card reader's probably a worthwhile investment.

If i buy a mini sd card with its cover so it can become a big sd card will it fit properly in the device and run similar/same speeds i.e i have a ultra 2 2gb and seen mini sd ultra 2 2gb sd. (both say they will do those speeds in the devices)
The reason is i dont want to limit my self to just the jasjar (xda exec) when i can use mini sd for other devices.

Ooopps i forgot to add whats a very good GPS reciver for the JASJAR (xda exec) and works well with everything i.e device and navigation softwares also looks sexy too.
Please try and give a link to what it looks like and it specifications. (tried to google it but im not sure what to expect from one)

Can't help you with this one, but I suggest you start a new topic called something like "GPS receivers for the i-mate Jasjar/XDA" instead of continuing in this unrelated thread. I've seen some Bluetooth ones advertised - check the stores on Geekzone - but never tried one.

That should be fine, although I've had a few issues with some mini-SD adapters not providing good electrical contact on all the pins. If possible, try before buying or tell the vendor what you intend to do and see if your configuration is supported.

There are a few Bluetooth GPS devices, but I recommend the GlobalSat GPS, with SirfStar III chipset. They are very good and work even inside your pocket. We have posted about a couple of these in the review section.
