I have a client who has three blackberry's for their sales team. Their mail is hosted by Xtra (officemail). Two of the giys email's are working fine - set them up via the Blacberry web setup (telstra - tcl,blackberry.net). The third one is the problem. It is setup the same way, and the Officemail mailbox is there (checked it fine via webmail). The BB setup validates and saves the email settings and they are immediately updated in the handset - so the BB setup site is talking fine to the phone (PIN is correct) and we get an email from RIM with the standard 'Remember to set your desktop email client to leave messages on the server' but nothing else...

I have deleted and redone the email settings - get the same 'remember to set your desktop mail client' message from RIM but nothing else.

It sends email no problems from the correct address.

Have Resent the Service Books.

Am out of Ideas - so is Telstra's helpdesk.

Anyone lurking here a BB guru with something I can try?

Do you see messages in the Officemail webmail?

If not, you need to adjust your email client (outlook/outlook express) settings so that it leaves messages on the server.

He does not use an email client, only gets emails through his Blackberry (so, at the moment he is getting no email).
His emails are all sitting in his Officemail webmail - it is working fine
