I also enjoy time playing FPS games, but I think there's a lot of us who dont play often enough to enjoy multiplayer.

On console I've been playing Destiny, and would love it if you could commit to solo'ing (and having an easier path) when you first start a campaign.

The games companies seem to think that forcing players into multiplayer is a good thing, when sometimes all we want to do is drop in and solo a mission after work.

With respect to Destiny, it gets to a point where you simply cant complete the missions, unless your character is at a much higher level than the mission dictates.

It's a shame really - as eventually you just tune out and stop playing...

Yeah I think that it's an OK game, it's not as amazing as I guess I'd been led to believe which I think is because those who reviewed it, were probably fans of MP, and as a MP game I can definitely see the attraction.

It has a great variance in the players and player classes. I like the guy with the 6 shooter, and the girl with the pink mech the best. I don't really do finesse :)

Just in case anyone cared. My saga with Battle net was thankfully quite short.

I found a webchat, sent a copy of my Drivers license to them, and they removed my old authenticator, added SMS Protect and helped me with the authentication emails that didn't arrive in a timely fashion. I couldn't imagine doing that over an email with the average response times around 3 days right now.

It seems impossibly complicated for a GAMING Service.

My bank has less security.

If I hadn't been able to play a game that night, I'd NEVER have bought a Blizzard game again. Crazy stuff.

Ok well I've played overwatch for about 10 hours. I don't love it.  It's ok but the match making sucks, if you are a beginner or generally don't excel at online FPS.

I succumbed and bought battlefront. I definitely prefer that! Much much better.

I do wonder how you go about finding groups of "older" people to play with, that don't play every day, so it's a bit more fun, than being randomly matched with the elite players online.

Probably start a group up of "mature" players - Ive often thought about doing something similar for CS:GO, gaming for Dads etc :-p

Did you play the new Doom?

Shallow but fun and a great show-piece for the new 1070 with all the settings cranked to max

In the same vein, the last Wolfenstein was pretty good and should be cheap as chips.

Perhaps consider the Metro games as well - also available pretty cheap on steam and still look and play well.

More of a question of if your simply after older people or Mature people.

They don't always fit into both categories.

@xpd a mature group for playing cs actually sounds pretty good, flag me at some point if you do push through with this :)

Bought the new doom for the multiplier for giggles when it first came out, Oh my disapointment.

I was however up at a lan recently, where we played Doom 3 in multiplayer (some Modification that was made, Actually pretty cool). the graphics were nothing like i remember! i swear it used to look so much better. But wow, that was laughs.

We ended up dying over and over, i swear it was set on impossible AI levels!

Well I'd assume casual gamers (Those with families, responsibilities etc) will be more suited skill wise, than those who live on the computer to play these games, as I used to :)

Is everyone on FB or Steam ? I'll start a group on one of those for the "casual dad gamers" :)

Many, many years ago, I was in a battlefield clan that did exactly that... just dudes that would play randomly. SilentDeath. Had bf2, CoD and CS.
