OMG you NEED to play God of War.  It's a masterpiece.  Well deserving of all the game of the year awards.  Incredible achievement in gaming!

I've played the first couple of levels of GoW. Really cool, pretty hard. So I took a break to go back to D2. I think I'll do GoW first when I get to a good point in D2.

GoW and Spider man were my 2 tops games from last year. RDR2 was overhyped and under-delivered for me. Got bored part way through the 3rd chapter and haven't been back since.

Pre-ordered Dirt Rally 2.0 last week.  Looking forward to that even though I have an unopened Dirt 4 sitting in the shelf.  And only part way through Dirt Rally 1.
General consensus seems to be that Dirt 4 wasn't as good anyway.

GT series gets semi regular play time, as does Project Cars 2.

All of the above using wheel & pedals.

Spyro trilogy got a few weeks of play time after its release.

Like one or two others above, I don't have the time or inclination to get good enough at the online multi player games any more.  Unreal Tournament was the last time I was halfway ok enough to hold my own online.  So it's been a while.  :-)

I bought Project Cars 2 and quickly realised that without a steering wheel & pedals it was pretty pointless. Looks awesome, but until I can afford a decent wheel & pedals it sits on the shelf.

The Civ 6 new expansion looks quite good. Almost seems like a Civ 6.5.

Gathering Storm is the expansion pack, but does require Civ 6.

Volcano's can erupt, floods can happen near rivers, dust storms etc. From I've heard, workers now lose efficiency, so you can't just have a worker at the beginning of the game and expect to have that worker still towards the end of the game. And i think there is changes to where wonders can be built, e.g. Pyramids need to be near desert etc

It's incredibly hard even with wheel and pedals.  Spent more time playing in the grass and gravel traps last night than actually on the Donnington track.  Typically "British" weather.  :-p

That and the Dirt Rally series seem the closest to the real thing though.  GT is still a bit to arcady (especially what they use for"gravel"), though nice to drive some very shiny cars.

PCARS 2 is so stressful to play. I'm in the Caterham Track Day B season right now, and unless I set the AI to have the skillset of a toddler, I end up playing too aggressively trying to overtake and end up in the gravel.

Coincidentally it's on Donnington, too.

Well I am almost finished Crackdown 3. Final 2 bosses have been very tough. Despite it's average reviews I had a lot of fun with it and all the better that it only cost me 4 weeks of game pass, ie $10.

PCars2 will be on the back burner for a it now.  Dirt Rally 2.0 arrived yesterday.

First spin (literally) was in the WRX on the NZ stages.  Set it up similar to my actual rally car.  First stage involved two full spins, numerous of track excursions and one roll over 50m before the finish.

Graphics are awesome.  Physics seems to me to be quite accurate.

Now I just need to earn some in game credits so I can get a few more cars to play with.

Just watched some footage and it looks good! Very easy to tell when they are on a NZ Stage haha. They did a good job on the environments. I don't have a wheel and setup but if anyone in AKL has a setup I'd be keen to jam one day!

Edit, OH MY GOD THE S1 QUATTRO SOUNDS AMAZING.

One of the youtube stages looked exactly like bits of Whaanga Coast, corners, junctions and all.  Minor detail that Whaanga Coast is on the opposite side of the country to Hawkes Bay, just south of Raglan.
