So I did something I never do, and bought the gold version of this game so I could get it early and included the season pass.

So far I am having a blast. It's very accessible and its very fast and frantic.

Graphics are ok, not it's strong suit. Very arcady etc.

Controls are taking time to get used to.

So I spend around 3 hours with it last night. I am happy with my purchase. So much to learn and do, but it's just a lot of fun. I highly recommend it. Can be hard to keep track of everything. Map could stand to be better laid out and explained.

The HUD is a bit crap though, and I haven't had a look to see if I can change anything. Pop in and out is a bit rough and sometimes

I'm looking at purchasing it when I manage to get hold of my son's old PS4. Hopefully in time for Christmas! Until then, it's Just Cause 2 on the Shield TV!

That's a pretty subjective question. I haven't played both, and I am sure Spyro is a great game, but I'd take JC4 every day of the week, twice on Sundays.

If you want something amazing with a good story, God of War or Spiderman are both fantastic.

I am surprised more people aren't into this. It's one of the best open world series.

I am having a lot of fun. Some things can be frustrating, and some of the mechanics for the grappling hook are fiddly and annoying, but overall, it's good fun!

I loved JC2, JC3(picked it up on release date) I finished the story and the base liberation's but would say it was a disappointment compared to JC2.

Will prop pickup JC4 on PC but not right now as for right now it looks like a messy/bad port based on what is being said on steam along with them adding denuvo, I have so many other games to play that I will leave it for later after some patches have gone out.

Well I played this every chance I got since I got it, finished it two days ago. It's a pretty big game and I didn't complete everything. It's a hell of a lot of fun. Graphics are pretty average at times, but to be honest, most of the time, I didn't really care.

The Jet Powered Wingsuit created some of the most spectacular experiences I've had whilst gaming. Racing 1m off the ground over long distances was just such amazing fun.

I didn't really love the stuff they did with the extras for Ricos retractor, to me it was just a novelty. I haven't worked out how to take something off the ground and THEN push it with jets.

I did had some fun reatracting large fuel tanks together.

Overall I'd give it a 9/10 for fun. Easily my second favourite game of 2018 behind Spiderman and  in front of God of War and well in front of RDR2, which I am unsure I'll ever go back to.

Its 34% off on Steam at the moment, so NZ$ 65.97 in case anyone is interested https://store.steampowered.com/app/517630/Just_Cause_4/

Mostly negative reviews though, think I'll pass till its cheaper

The PC version definitely is a mess, I have played early access games with less issues than JC4 has

I can find fun parts but in the 4 hours I have in game so far i would say over 50% of that has not been doing the missions the ones that do work are quite repetitive rinse and repeat the rest are just completely broken.

Add in the technical issues(although the frame rate is really good) draw in, fog of war, npc pathing issues, spawning issues, odd physics, random thunder out of no where to strike you down, wild animals that don't act like they have any brains and the list goes on.

You end up with a game that does not even feel like it is ready for early access.

I can't speak to the PC version, but the fun I had (especially once a couple of the upgrades were selected) on the PS4 version was fantastic. In some ways I had more fun with JC4 than Spider-Man, though they are both fantastic fun.

Took me a while to work out how the upgrades worked and I spent a few hours playing before I realized. Once I started to unlock and upgrade the game became a lot more fun.
