I haven't used one of those, but I do have one of these DX Racer chairs.. https://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/dxracer-max-series-gaming-chair-black/22446963

After 3 years, I consider my chair a massive waste of money. I'd much rather have bought a decent office chair, that has good support, something along the lines of this: https://www.officemax.co.nz/Furniture/Office-Chairs-Seating/Ergonomic-Chairs/WorkPro-Executive-Chair-With-Arms-and-Mesh-Back-Black-Alloy-Base-83913

Why a waste of money? What made it so bad?

There's zero back support on mine. The one you linked looks like it has a good deal of support built in, so could be a lot better.

fro support, mine came with a headrest & lumbar support cushion.
For me, the lumbar cushion is too bulky to use, and the backrest has no support without it.
The head rest one pushes my head farther forward than I'd like.
The range of fixed positions for the backrest don't suit me either - it's either too upright or reclined too far

I bought a dxracer back in 2015. I wish i hadnt.

The quality of these chairs is not great, you get clunking and banging from the gas strut (im 80KG) so it shouldnt wear out like it has. The fabric on the back where the lower "back pillow" straps around wears out from constantly having to adjust the pillow.

At work i have a Knight Luxe chair and im seriously thinking about getting one to replace my dxracer at home.

If your spending many hours a day in it don't buy any of those "gaming" type chairs. Spend as much as you can on a decent office chair.
