Anyone else playing this, seems pretty sweet at the moment. playing a Dalish Elf Rogue on the PC version.
Not far in but was interested to hear anyone elses experiences.

Extra sweet as I found it online for only $63, which is $35+ cheaper than in store.

im 10 hours in playing a human nobleon the pc and im finding its hard to play against my beliefs i hold in real life , im finding it hard to kill any one when given the chance to in the dialogue scenes, i try and save everyone lol, might start again and become a real bastard, enjoying it though

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Yeah, I had the same problem playing Fable the second time through. I found it really hard to slaughter the innocent.
I am currently playing it as a goody two shoes. Well goody two sturdy leather boots at any rate.

None as yet, I will have a look tonight.
Will also look at how I use the downloaded Stone Prisoner Golem I got free in my copy.
Apparently he was worth $15US if I was to buy him. According to the Bioware site.

Looking to get the PS3 collector's edition from EB Games which include cloth map (Exclusive to EB)... but the game is not out for PS3 yet :-( few days delay.

Still don't know how to use my Stone Prisoner in-game.
A thing I don't like is that there are only X number of enemies on a map so you can't grind XP if you want to level up.
I am at a point where I just can't can't kill a boss as I am not strong enough and only have one health potion. I am close to levelling but the only enemies are gathered around the boss and I get nailed every time before I can kill anything.

Just applied the 101b patch, all good so far.

I have been to:
Redcliffe(quest line not completed)
Mages tower(Completed)
Ducked into Denerim, but only did a part of the Redcliffe quest there then left.

Just entered the 'deep roads' under Orzammar.

Really enjoying it.

I find Morrigan's cold spells invaluable.

I need to automate my party better, they seem to stop figting after each kill rather than go and attack the next target even if it is firing off arrows at me. I will look at the tactics and see where I am going wrong.

Also on the PC I am finding it difficult to swing my view quick enough to see what is happening around me.

I am enjoying it though. Just wish I was in control of one person as in WOW rather than trying to manage 4 and get them to do their special tricks.

I am nowhere near being able to use the dragon armour I downloaded as it requires 38 strength. Playing a rogue though, I don't know that i will ever be able to don it.

I pause alot, and tend to micromanage my party.

I wish there was a way to queue up actions though.

I'm really enjoying the game. I completed it on hard mode with an elven mage, and have started a new game on nightmare with a human noble rogue. Nightmare is hard!

Regarding the stone prisoner, there are instructions for redeeming the code on bioware's site. It involves making an online account, then opening the game, and logging in to your account from within the game. Then go to the downloadable content window in the game intro menu and hit "redeem code" or something (I forget exactly what it's called). This will open a browser window and you can type in the code for the stone prisoner that was in your collector's edition. Once that's done it should start downloading the content. Go into the game, and once you're at the part of the game where you can roam around the map there will be a gold-coloured zone on the world map. That's where you go.

I also had problems with my party members running into my blizzards/grease spells etc. The best solution is to hit the 'h' key to tell your party members to hold ground. It's not a perfect fix because then melee types WON'T move unless you tell them to (which can lead to them not attacking anything even if there are enemies literally 1 step away) but it makes a big difference.

If you have a herbalist in the party, you can buy any amount of cheep elfroot (used to make poultices) from the dalish elf camp in the outskirts of the brecilian forest. The circle tower also has unlimited amounts of lyrium dust (used to make potions) for sale. I forget where you buy vials but someone has an unlimited number in stock! After a certain point in the game I found that I was buying both materials several stacks of 99 at a time.

Thanks for the info. I had downloaded the Stone Prisoner, I just didn't know how to access him in-game but I later found out there is a particular town where you can release him in a quest or some such.
I can't imagine playing on hard let alone Nightmare.

I guess I need to get into the routine of playing the characters. I didn't know I could damage my own party.

Yeah, you can damage your party on all difficulties apart from easy, I believe. On normal difficulty, party members only take 50% of friendly fire damage, so it's not too bad.

To be honest, I'd highly recommend fireballing a tough ally if it means hitting 5 of your enemies (even on hard difficulty where friendly fire damage is taken in full). Doing this is likely to cause your mage to draw attention onto themselves, however :(
