Hey guys, pulling my hair out here.

I've just got an Asus RT-AC1200 and am trying to get it set up for my Snap!/2degrees broadband.

I've spoken to 2degrees broadband technical support and they couldn't help me get connected. As with my personal experience, they couldn't find a setting for vlan anywhere. Can anyone help me out here please? How and where can I find out what vlan tagging is and how to set it on my new router? :(

You firstly need to establish if your router supports VLAN tagging. 2degrees aren't going to be able to help you with that. You best bet would be to ask Asus support or the retailer where you purchased it from.

Some other Asus routers have VLAN support in the IPTV area. Some don't support it at all. There are plenty of such threads on here if you do a search such as this. http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=66&topicid=191190

did you consider looking to see if the router supported VLAN tagging before buying it? or see what was required by your ISP for your type of connection?

it doesnt look like it supports VLAN tagging so you might be SOOL
