In the process of switching from a VF landline + HG659 modem  to Sparks Rural Broadband. Currently have both running which is handy

I have set the Spark unit up and cannot connect my M1 or earlier 2012 Macbook air to the Spark wifi.

An Android and iPhone are able to connect and I can connect both laptops with the LAN cable. Neither of the Airs will connect to Wifi even though the Mac.

Macbook System Preferences:

Any assistance appreciated

Perhaps supply some more info - what errors do you get etc.

Check Wi-Fi is set to WPA2 only. Try separating 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. Change channel widths 2.4 to 20MHz and 5 to 40MHz.

I don't get any errors per se.

It's just doing my head in that it works ( since 2 phones and LAN are working)

Since both Laptops connect to the old VF router

Since neither connect to this wirelessly.

I assume it's something in my Laptop settings not the router settings but can't figure why it would connect to one not the other.

SOLVED.

The system had somehow prepopulated erroneous DNS so once deleted all was good.

Should anyone have similar issue I can point to the answer on Apple Support Forums.
