I suspect you have a HG659. As that can do gigabit speeds. The wireless coverage is a bit average and has weird issues when you connect more than 32 devices, but apart from that for a 8 year old router it should still be ok.
yitz and BarTender: Thanks guys, you're correct, it's the HG659. It's not feeding 32 devices but there are a few connections:
