Back on topic please folks.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Back on topic please folks.

Nonsense must be contradicted. I don't think the term ‘security camera’ is open to debate. Especially not when it comes to cloud-based, wireless or even SD card storage cameras that can be put out of action by very simple means (jammer, power cut-off, internet interruption, theft, paint spray). Not to mention how easily amateurish installations can be hacked. It's no problem for me to look into a living room anywhere in the world at any time with these cheap home WiFi cameras. This should just be made clear before people have a false sense of security camera (which is on topic).

When viewing camera footage simultaneously from two cameras, there are periods where one camera 'freezes' while other keeps clicking over. The frozen camera then catches up to the other one some time later.

Most likely the motion triggered record time had simply expired and recording had stopped, the cameras are operating independent of each other so aren't recording in sync.

They both record 24/7, not just on motion

So is it only the playback that's an issue?   As in when the playback of one channel locks up because you've been watching the other, you're able to wait for it to come back then watch the footage for the previously frozen channel?

I'm wondering if the storage in the NVR is failing.

Does it occur when you're playing one channel at a time or when you're watching the playback for both?  What's the performance like when you jog back n forward in time on one channel?  If you play back one channel at a time is it perfectly fine?

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

I went to neighbours across the road, as one camera directly faces my car but they too have periods of missing footage.

We've also had issues with cellphone signal, not being able to make or receive calls, among other things,Is there potentially something dodgy going on or all just major coincidence?

i wonder if someone has an electronic jammer in their car.

years ago there was a thing about jammers that can effect the circuit board of the cameras, so it works against wired cameras. however i've only even seen small hand held ones used for disabling electronic door locks. this comes down to cheap cameras/locks having plastic housings and no metal shielding around the circuits. i don't know if their is powerful ones now that can work at a distance. if there is i would expect it to disrupt a lot of devices.

sometimes things like welders can upset sensitive devices at quite a distance.

Hi, I get what you are saying. Unfortunately the footage for the timeframe that is missing, does not reappear. When viewing simultaneously, one continues and the other stops, then catches back up, but it also freezes and catches up at exactly same times when viewing independently.

It's never both freezing at the same time that I can see, and this is only during playback, I'm not sure what the live camera view does because never sitting there watching it live!

And jogging back and forth, still freezes/skips, like if you try to put cursor in the timeframe that you know it's missing footage, it just skips to where footage starts again.

If that makes sense!

I came across something similar I think when looking into the while jammer thing (and wow can't believe they actually manufacturing things like Flipper Zero!)

When my car was broken in to, I say that loosely as there was no sign of forced entry, but it was unlocked and I always triple check it. There's been a few occasions where it's just unlocked itself, so thought some younguns were messing with me.

Only knew someone had been in there because of the rearview mirror had been tampered with, the glass looked weird, like that fake 2 way mirror stuff, and the plastic connector to window was folded open and then the other day the whole thing fell off the windscreen while I was driving! Few other tell tell signs but didn't want to bother police about it as nothing stolen
