Just wondering if anyone has used the Shelly PRO 4PM in a new build and have any feedback.

Have been leaning towards KNX but the electrician the builder prefers to use doesn't do KNX and I am trying to avoid adding more contractors to the mix.

Ah ok - there is a great outfit in ChCh called KNXtra that I used for my KNX stuff. My sparky was pretty happy to work with it - they just have to wire each lighting circuit into a relay module and then you can do the rest.

I only needed the KNXtra guys as I ran KNX bus cable around all my light switches as a backup in case my DIY switching system falls over.

But if you are just using the relay/dimmer modules, the sparky wires up each circuit and then you control everything over IP (assuming you get an IP adaptor).

Much better solution IMO than having a load of Shelly PRO 4PMs where you need an ethernet connection for every 4x relays, and you don't have the option for dimming at all.

You make it look too easy :) Does the KNX TP1 cable just go round like a loop? I probably have lots of questions so will ping you directly if you dont mind :)

Best to try this Discord server - https://discord.gg/ZC8NcR98

I am active on there and there are a few of us doing the same thing with KNX.

Don’t ever run loops. Stars, trees etc will be fine but never loops.
