I have a JVC TV JV58ID7A2020UHD without the remote.  Can anyone please let me know how can I navigate in the TV menu?  There is one power button at the bottom left of the TV.  When I move the button up and down, I can navigate up and down in the menu, but when I move left and right, it is turning the volume up and down, I can't find a way to navigate left and right in the TV menu.

If its a joystick like some Samsung's, try pressing it like a button.

When I press it to turn, it shuts down the TV.

This might be helpful. Not your model but probably works the same.

Would a tv remote app (for mobile device) help in any way? (Posed as a question because I have no idea).

Is it possible that to 'select', you have to press and hold the button rather than just quickly press (which is turning it off)?

Found this - presume it's probably similar for you:

https://jvctv.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/IM_LT-65N7115AM_OLN12761_v2_gr160222_sml.pdf

Page 9 indicates :

ControlKey

1.      : Select the next channel or move up.

2.      :Increase the volume level or move right.

3.      :Decrease the volume level or move left.

5.      :Select the previous channel or move down.

4.      :When TV is on standby, press to turn on. When TV is on, press to enter the menu.

Use the joystick to navigate around the interface and press to enter the highlighted item.

When TV is on, press and hold to put TV on standby.

So maybe it is supposed to be a very quick press to select. Either way, its similat to my samsung LED TV.
