Most electronics retailers have two Mobiwire phones in their stock. These are budget button phones. The $50 Hinto is phone only, no added features. The $130 Ogima also has Internet capability.

Does anyone have experience of these devices?

Harvey Norman reviews aren’t great. Issues with the buttons which you really don’t want and will be most annoying.

If you got a smart phone with internet capability and an on screen keyboard it really would make life easier than buttons so do consider it.

You don’t need to have the smart Wi-Fi or mobile data feature turned on if that’s an issue and you can make it as dumb as the button phone while still receiving and making calls.

Google cheap smart phones NZ and you will see Alcatel smartphones from $49 and there are a number of others to choose from under $100

Thanks I've seen all that. Touch screens are unacceptable on small displays. It has to be buttons.
