My HP P420 RAID card just arrived from China today. It's a low profile card that came with both low profile and full height brackets.

Unfortunately the supplied full height bracket isn't vented like the factory ones, and since these cards can get pretty warm I am hoping to get a vented full height bracket like the one below.

I can get one off Ebay, but shipping will take a month so hoping to source one locally instead.

Venting on cards only really helps in a rack server configuration where its air in the front and out the back of a case only. Desktop cases have funny airflow patterns and those holes dont seem do do much. Mine actually has air going in them which I dont want since there is no dust filter on them.

It's going in a tower case, but (most of) the airflow is set front to back with two low RPM 140mm intake fans at the front and a single higher RPM 140mm exhaust fan at the rear. The exception is one additional low RPM 140mm intake fan on the side panel which blows directly on the expansion cards. The combined airflow of the 3 intake fans should still be higher than the faster exhaust fan, so the internal pressure should be positive and prevent any air coming in through any other vents or gaps.

The blank plates on either side of the card are vented, so you're probably right that it would make little difference; but I still would have preferred the card one to be vented as well.
