I'm needing to setup internet access for a building using wireless (4/5G), likely on 2Degrees network. I'm after either:

  1. A USB 4G modem that works with an existing Netcom 4GM3W device I've got. The compatibility list is here.
  2. A 3/4/5G router that will work on 2Degrees

Does anybody have anything spare? This is a stopgap until fibre gets installed so not looking to go crazy.

It's not a listed compatible product, but a brief google says the D-Link DWM-222 is based on a pretty common generic chip, so should be a safe bet. I'm curious why not just pick up a off the shelf unit from 2degrees?

Thanks for the D-Link DWM-222 info. Was hoping someone might have one older and cheaper! I'm not aware that 2Degrees do any? I don't want fixed wireless broadband.

@phrozenpenguin .... I have Huawei USB stick E173 and a wifi router E5251 available.

Both are 3G though, but work fine with any telco SIM.

I'm in Wellington.

Search TradeMe for B315 or B618

These came out in a Spark/Skinny variant and a Vodafone/2Degrees variant, so ensure you choose the Vodafone//2Degrees variant.  (Others may correct me on this.)
