I have found the VPN transfer rates to be bordering on terrible given I have a 1000/500 connection. RDP over the VPN was soooo slow that I'd use teamviewer instead.
One thing I'd like, is realtime internet bandwidth reporting at the device level. eg, if I see someone is using half our internet capacity, I want to see which device.
All my Ipv6 issues went away on my 3 pc's when I did this:

The default Microsoft Windows IPv6 implementation has privacy extensions enabled, where IPv6 temporary addresses are used for client activities. The idea is that IPv6 has so many addresses available to it that we can create extra ones to help mask our activities. In practice these temporary addresses are largely pointless, and are very unhelpful if firewalls and ACLs are configured to allow access from a specific static address.
By themselves, IP addresses aren’t a good way to authenticate people but they often form another layer of defense. This is especially important for IT infrastructure where there often aren’t (or can’t be) sophisticated authentication mechanisms.
Paste these commands into an administrator-level PowerShell or Command Prompt and then restart your PC:
netsh interface ipv6 set global randomizeidentifiers=disabled
netsh interface ipv6 set privacy state=disabled

In answer to the suggestions (thanks, guys),
1. The VPN I used is the one provided by the Fritzbox. It used to work fine (pre CGNAT).
2. Pinging ipV6 addresses doesn't work. I tried "ping6 www.google.com" & "ping -6 www.google.com" on Linux and on my work laptop (Win10) I tried "ping -6 www.google.com". (network unreachable for all ping attempts).
3. On the linux machine the google address resolved to "2404:6800:4006:80b::200" but pinging this directly didn't work either (network unreachable).
4. Trying to access from outside using "myFritz.net" and "https://test-ipv6.com/index.html.en_US" also failed - Unable to connect.
5. Whitelist & Blacklist Lists are empty. Global lists - only email port25 & WPAD filters are enabled.
6. Access profile for main network is "unlimited". Parental control is set to "Standard" for most devices. (Unrestricted).
It's looking like some sort of firewall setting - or a problem outside somehow?
MTU settings not tried as pings didn't work. (Although DNS lookup appeared to - Confirmed as Google, Sydney by whois lookup on 2404:6800:4006:80b::200 ).
Any further ideas welcome.
So you have a pretty fundamental problem - IPv6 is simply not working at all. Which is not so easy to do with a FritzBox on 2Degrees as the standard setup that 2Degrees loads into their FritzBoxes should just work correctly. So I think you need to call 2Degrees support and get them to sort out that problem.

Thanks for this! Have put 07.19-79496 on my 2 7490's in mesh. So far so good. I'm no longer with 2deg, but the beta has solved an issue I was having with IPoE & IPv6 on Orcon.
Initial impression is that band steering is a bit more aggressive/active.
