I recently signed up to Snap! VDSL, which was relatively painless, made our first payment and thought all was good to go.
A couple of days passed and I didn't hear anything, though the money went from the bank account, so I thought I'd give them a ring.
After a small wait on hold I got through to a rep. we were going through all the details, and had I not pushed and specifically asked if there were issues with the account and transfer, I wouldn't know. I didn't get any email from then, a phone call or even a text to say "please ring to sort."
So I went through and gave him all the details to correct the transfer and assumed everything was all right.
A few more days passed and I still hadn't heard anything, by now, we are 5 working days into the 10 working day turn around, but as far as I was concerned, no plan had been made for the jack-point install or swap over. So I called again to get an update on my account and it turns out the Internet is scheduled to be connected and jack-point installed on the 24th.
Again, great that it has been scheduled, but no communication yet again. Not an email, not a phone call, not a text. How would I know to be home for the Tech to install the jack-point if I'm not given sufficient notice to be able to be home? Would they just expect that on the day, that I would be home to let him in?
I really hope this isn't the start of a horrible trend with my new ISP.
