I have been using dyndns for the last 10 years and its worked fine.
However about 2 years ago they dropped the free option and are charging US$72 for 2 years.
Before I shell out for another 2 years:
Does 2Degrees do domain registration etc.
Does it handle their dynamic IP allocation or do I need to pay extra for fixed IP
Where do you find any of this info on their web pages
What are the costs.
I am still on a Snap plan do I have to change to 2Degrees (I would then look at other ISPs too.... any suggestions).
We currently have 2 phone Numbers (phone + faxability) so only ISPs who can handle this (Orcon can't, we shifted from
them for this reason).
If I change to 2Degrees what happens with VDSL, I currently and getting an excellent throughput of 70/30Mbs
and I am NOT interested in "as fast as you can go unto 30MBs", why would I pay to have a speed cut.
TIA
