I have a Mobile account with Slingshot and have discovered today that my number is disconnected.
People get the number is invalid or inactive message.
I am unable to make a call. But Data and SMS work fine(I can send and receive text messages).
Slingshot are looking into it (but they say they are really busy!).
My account is fine (I pay my bills).
Checked SIM in another handset same issues.
My number was ported from XT (Was Vodafone, then 2degrees, then XT).
We have another mobile on slingshot and is fine.

My main issue is people think my number is disconnected - this is not good!

Anybody struck this issue before?

Well my phone is going now. And the only reason it is working is because of the help of Johnr (I thank you again John)! John had a look at my mobile connection and discovered that I was put on a data only plan (when I had requested a data ADD ON). The fix would only take 5 minutes. But just try and tell that to customers support they ignored what I said and went off blaming Vodafone for the problem. Went through 6 different people at the call centre all blaming Vodafone for my problems. They just would not listen to me. Ended up on a conference call with myself,Johnr and the team leader at slingshot to solve the issue. That once John got through to them it took only 5 minutes to fix.

It should not have been so hard,I so want to track down everyone I spoke to today at slingshot and give them a piece of my mind!

And they want me to be loyal customer...well think again Slingshot you are Shot!

Got an email from them Wednesday "We haven't forgotten...Work continues on your issue, but unfortunately it is still unresolved." so I rang them Friday. Asked if there was a fault ticket still open...Yes it is...but the issue was fixed with the help of Johnr Monday. Oh really they say.... interesting that.
So if we had not sorted the issue(a 5 min fix in the end) I still would not have a voice service on my mobile!

If they do nothing will the issue go away? - I don't think so!

If they do nothing will the customer go away? - Yes when the customer takes his service to another provider!

What a joke Slingshot...
