I have an ongoing speed issue with Slingshot...about 5 months old now. One of the additional complaints I have is, that although SS communicate with me via email there is no way of replying to their email, you either have to phone them, which we all know may not be practical due to the waiting time or send a new email which generates a new customer support request. All I want to do is reply to the email they sent!!

Yeah I went round and round on that one a few times. You have to reply using the email address that is associated with the ticket/account (ie a slingshot email ID) or it won't accept it. Even then it seemed pretty hit and miss...

Changed to Snap and haven't regretted it. Imagine, a company that answers the phone in less than an hour!

Someone here on GZ suggested calling the slingshot 0800 number from a mobile.

As it costs them more to keep mobile calls on hold they seem to give mobile calls priority over landline calls. Try it and see how quick they answer.

Well I emailed them last friday and they got back to me last night
(RobynK) it was signed off on the email.I asked him/her about me canceling my broadband service being terminated without being charged the early term fee , he/she sent back a rather short email to say my contract ends July 2011 which is not true cause I clearly stated when asked the question it was for my broadband not my homeline at all, So I sent back a rather angry response in regards to when sending an email they ask for info account number etc.. I clearly provided that and my name yet this RobynK obviously just skimmed over the question without really reading it. I sent them a screenshot clearly showing my contract ends on Jan 5th of 2011 NOT the july 2011 didn't get an apology or anything in the response back so I guess he/she didn't want to own up to being WRONG.

I am starting to think they have 5year olds working for them, their email help service is a complete joke and not the first time ive had some dummy not read a question or go into my account that has always been provided with my full name

I hope to maybe sign up with Snap too depending on if I can get it up here and if they get that ultra fast broadband thing don't understand any of that just yet

Everytime Ive contacted slingshot for help via the online help it's always ended up in me telling them to properly read my emails and go look in my account thats what the heck i provided my account number for its like talking to 2yr olds and they never apologize

If you are looking for a quick or intelligent response don't contact them via email
they'll either tell ya theres only 2 ppl who reply to their hundreds of emails
or you'll get someone who can't read and go fully into your account that THEY have full access to help you.G.L

Have sent a copy of my question and the replys from their online help service to their CEO dont expect a response but did it anyway!
