I'll have to check tonight, can't recall with enough confidence. I did have the TV set to AU service area (NZ broadcast area) when it received the update. Changed it to NZ service area after the upgrade and before FV+ showed up. No idea if that was significant.

Thanks for that , probably the reason I haven't seen it yet . I was on AU area but changed back to NZ when I hear there was a NZ specific Firmware coming .

My LG TV received a firmware update overnight.

Input menu's are in a different place and stuff, but in my 5 minutes of playing I didn't see TOO much difference.  I spent 30 seconds searching in vain for Freeview Plus....if its there I couldn't find it!

I don't want no sugar in it - thank you very much

Did you go to Advanced Settings/Programmes and make sure you had HbbTv ticked? Its the last item in the list.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

I saw that and (as I didn't immediately twig what it was - I was late for work) I didn't select it - I will when I have more fiddle time tonight. Cheers!

Last week, just purchased a new LG TV, my old set was a Samsung 2012, so big step up, took a while to finally figure out about the Advanced Menu, HbbTV should ideally be turned on by default.

Did any of you LG owners that have just had the software update have your standard Freeview guide replaced with a different one that for me is only showing whats on now and next rather than a full guide . Dont know if this is something LG can fix .

Yeah that's the one I was using , also I get the same when I push the guide button on the remote , the new guide looks great but its got stuff all info past the next show . The standard Free-view guide has disappeared .

Are you using the normal remote or the magic remote? If I use the magic remote and point to the right end of the screen I get two options, Programmes and Time Machine. Programmes is what show what is playing and what is on next. However if I select Guide from either remote or use the TV Guide app I get a full EPG, 7 days.

I have those same options but the guide is not the same old Freeview guide and is not fully populated past the next program . Is yours the old guide or different?

Thanks that's the same as mine but mine is empty past the next 1 or 2 shows . I think I read somewhere that not all the guide info is broadcast outside the Auckland transmitter for that type of guide , I could be wrong. I would ask LG whats going on but I really don't think Ill get much joy .
