This is a bit of an odd one which I have a feeling is caused by DVB Viewer.
I was wondering if anyone else had noticed this:

This issue happens only on channel 2. On the top left hand corner one pixel will be a bright white no matter what is on the TV. Changing channel will see this go away. I thought this might just be in full screen mode so I put it into a window and changed sizes but it still was there (only it moved where ever the top corner of the window was).

This rules out the TV being the issue. Also I have tried Media Portal on TV2 and it didn't display a bright pixel so Im thinking it must be an issue with DVBViewer. Odd though it only happens with channel 2...
Anyone else seen this happen?

Im hopeing to integrate DVB Viewer with VMC as I prefer this to media portal (and so does my antec case VFD)

On another subject the Ati 8.11 driver seems to fix any issue I have experienced with the onboard HD3200 780G MB. Not bad for onboard :)

HTPC Specs:
780G 3200HD onboard video
Avermedia DVB-T Hybrid TV card
Vista Ultimate 32-bit SP1

This exists in the TV2 broadcast.

A normal TV overscans the image (ie it extends beyond the screen) by around 5% so this isn't visible. On a PC when you're using 1:1 pixel mapping their is no overscan so it is visible on screen.

There are also artifacts visible on many TVNZ7 shows as well for the same reason.

If you have software that overscans or zooms the image you won't notice it but with most software you will.

Thanks for the reply sbiddle.
Thats good to know as I was wondering whether it would damage the LCD and leave me with a dead/discoloured pixel. I normally minimize it when the adds are on just to be safe.
I did notice last night that DVB Viewer allows you to change the zoom with a slider so I will give that a go.

Thanks again.

That begs the question, why does it exist in the broadcast?

Is it designed as a calibration point or is it a true artifact?

With a Zinwell I saw it there too, ok tv3. Had to change TV from unscaled to widescreen to get rid of it. Would like to know why it's there too.
