I have 3 TV's hooked up as follows.

aerial---------splitter------splitter------TV(c)
|                 |
|                 |
TV(a)             TV(b)

My question is does the aerial signal get evenly divided at each splitter leaving TV(a) with 50% and TV(b) and TV(c) with 25% each

OR

Does the signal get evenly distributed to all TV's leaving each with 33.33% ?

In other words, would you be better off to wire it thus:

TV(a)
|
|
aerial------splitter---- TV(b)
|
|
TV(c)

Youd be better using a good quality 3-way splitter.
In the first diagram TV b and c are being fed from a signal that has already been split. Your maths seems correct to me.

Splitters don't evenly distribute signals (not quite technically correct, but it's the easiest way of summing it up). A TAP is needed if you want to "evenly distribute signals".

The 2nd setup is how things should be with a splitter.

Some 3 way splitters are internally like your first diag ,nowadays more like diag 2.

If its Digital , and you are reasonably above threshold it shouldnt make much difference , ideally put the longest cable run out of the single split(A)
