I have been asked to seek expressions of interest for the IT support of a small registered charity based in Glenfield, Auckland.

They are seeking to replace their 5x Windows XP machines and 1x Windows Server.  They have one networked photocopier/printer, a 24 port unmanaged switch, wireless access point and use Vodafone VDSL.

The IT company will have a local presence and be able to provide business hours support.  Hardware and support is not expected to be pro bono, however, charity rates would be appreciated.

Please either reply to this thread if this is of interest or email me nate at 3bit dot com.

Hi Nate.

I've fired you an email.  We look after a couple of charities already - our smallest being 3 seats and our biggest being 22 seats if I remember correctly.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Nate, I've also sent you an email - We're 2 minutes from Glenfield and would be very interested in this :)

Cheers.

I think that was when we were playing around with MLPPP... Now that I think about it though, it's probably quite misrepresenting labeling it as ADSL. Might have to change that!

hopefully all the registered charities and their IT providers are aware of the offerings on Techsoup:  https://www.techsoup.net.nz/ - the place to go to get donated or cheap software/services (Microsoft, Symantec, Citrix, etc) , cheap refurbished hardware, and free Office 365 subscriptions.

I've had three EOIs, that's enough, thanks for everyone who read this.

I will be in touch with those three companies tomorrow to proceed to the next step.

Thanks for the reminder about this Regs, and my thanks to Microsoft for their generosity with the discounted Charity licenses.  We note that the processing time in our experience so far can be lengthy, so we suggest ordering well in advance.
