Hi All,
I'm looking to replace old 2010 versions of MS Word, Excel, Outlook etc, on my home desktop and home laptop, but not sure whether to choose Office 365 Home, OR Small Business Premium?

Yes both devices are at home (and owned personally), but I do frequently use either device for work in the evenings / weekends, for viewing or editing work files.
Can I get away with buying the Home version, or do I need the Small Business Premium?

What have others done for personal devices?
Thanks

If you happen to work for a company that has an enterprise agreement with Microsoft, you might be able to get a cheap copy through the Microsoft Home User Program (HUP).

I got a licenced copy of Office 2013 for home via the HUP for $10 or $15 (can't remember exactly)

It requires not only an OLP Agreement but one with current SA. If the company stops the SA portion for some reason, home user rights are revoked.

Unfortunately that is not an option.

Office 365 Home and Small Business premium give you same access of desktop version of Office 2013. Small Business premium also provides with you with 1TB OneDrive cloud storage, 50GB business email account, website etc. If all you need is Office, then go for the Home version which will let you install it on 5 PC's or Mac and 5 tablets (iOS and Android). There is also the cheaper Office 365 Personal too which only lets you install Office on 1 PC or Mac and 1 tablet.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Not really interested in the cloud services at this stage (I host my own email), just interested the actual programs themselves (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher), and prefer the 5 device option.

My biggest concern is in the MS TOS, which state the 365 Home version cannot be used for commercial activities.
Does that mean if I purchase the 365 Home version, install on my own personal laptop and desktop, and then open up a document from work in the evenings or weekend and make changes, am I breaking the TOS?

Just wondering what is wrong with the 2010 versions. I still use them, and they work perfectly well.

Sorry should have clarified further.... I was originally given Office 2010 Home & Student, which covers word/excel, but Outlook I'm stuck using an old 2007 version, which doesn't nicely integrate with office 2010.
So the idea was to have all applications on 2013, and get publisher as well.

And before I do purchase office 365, I wanted to check on the commerical vs home use, as the same could apply to my current Office 2010, as it says "non-commercial use" on the top of Word/Excel.
