I'm breaking my own rule here by not searching first but this seems to change fairly regularly...

Looking for some recommendations on a CRM with integrated billing that has decent stock management.

Not worried whether this is open source or propriety. Just needs to be fairly flexible. The stock management bit in particular should have an 'employee' log on that lets them put a stock item next to a job number. And with the CRM part the employee should 'sign off' a job as complete and be able to add notes for future reference etc.

A local software/server-based solution as opposed to something cloud based (with monthly costs) is going to be preferred but not essential.

Obivously the final solution could be two different systems that have some integration, I don't really expect an all in one solution.

The other bit is if it is a fairly 'mainstream' one then that would be nice as we can then integrate with our phone system CTI interface.

We are taking a close look at EzPSA at present which is ticking most of our boxes. By coincidence it is locally developed. Cloud based but the pricing is pretty reasonable.

PM me if you want to hear our eval experience.

Didn't even think about Microsoft. AX looks to be a little full on, but the SL version looks to be fairly well suited.

Are both of these still being actively developed?

EzPSA looks extremely good. Nice that it's local as well. Might just start a trial and see what I find. Will PM you once I have had a fiddle.

We use Repaishopr ourselves.
Works well and integrates with Xero.

A customer of mine uses a cloud based system which i will remember soon.
Its called netflow or something like that.

Its pretty cool because when you print an invoice, it uses a feature in most new printers called webprint or whatever its branded as. Basically it emails a pdf to the printer so it doesnt need to go via download>pdf reader>print like xero does - a real time waster when using it at the point of sale.

We use ITQuoter, it has the advantage we can quote directly from it, getting feeds from all our suppliers.

The web site suggests it is a very capable product ideal for a busy shop front.

Are you using it for tasks and tickets for any Managed Services (i.e. fixed monthly price) clients?  I see it has handling for block-of-hours agreements, but I didn't see anything beyond that.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.

Looks like EzPSA will suit us best. Probably should have mentioned that the main thing will be billing for monthly services/equipment leases as well as issue reporting so the 'client portal' part of ezpsa should help immensely with that.

RepairShopr is lacking in the features for Managed Services but they are constantly adding features and upgrades.

AX is more for larger organisations with Dynamics NAV aimed at the small to medium business market. PM me if you would like further information on either or would like to discuss other solutions that might work for you. I work for a Microsoft partner company that does a lot of work in this space.

I am not certain as I inherited it as part of an company acquisition I made and just pay maintenance only now. I can put you in touch with the owner?

We really like it. They are pretty good with feature requests as well, though timing on those can vary  :)
