I'm scoping out how easy it will be able to migrate 13 mailboxes from OneNet Outlook Service to Office 365.

My requirements are:

Minimal/zero downtime for the users.
All contacts, calendar items and emails to be transferred for both mobile devices and desktop.
No copying of PST files as they are Gigs in size.

Not all the users are in New Zealand, most are in AU and ASIA.

So how do I do this?

Both Bittitan and SkyKick will do the job, but we've used the BitTitan solution a dozen times.

Drop the TTL on the MX record to 1 hour.

You set the BitTitan system up to access mailboxes on both systems. It copies the old mail (plus contacts/calendars etc) to the new mailbox. You do the first run, then run it again to capture the recent changes, switch the MX records, configure the mailbox remotely with a new Outlook profile, and for good measure run one last sweep with the BitTitan system to mop up any last minute emails.

I believe SkyKick has a completely hands-off option where their software will configure the user's Outlook profile for the new mailbox for you, but I've never looked seriously at this partly due tot he significant price difference.

Sorry for dragging up an old post. I've been checking out Bittitan and SkyKick but I'm not sure if its going to work with OneNet Outlook Service. Both of the services seam to me that they assume the Exchange Servers is hosted in a private environment and I administrations access rights.

Can anyone shed a bit more light on the situation?

My suggestion would be to contact BitTitan. I'm very sure this can be done (and have seen instructions on it), but I've never done it as we've always had admin access to the source server. I believe you basically have to create 13 individual connections with source and destinations usernames and passwords manually entered.

First thing, I would like to make it clear that I work for BitTitan, I'm a software engineer there.

You can always migrate a mailbox if you don't have the admin credentials, but in this scenario (and as far as I know) you need to provide a password for each mailbox. The only exception I know is for Google Mail where an email is sent to each user and the user needs to click on a link. Of course using admin credentials is more convenient for a migration. You can always bulk import users or import them from a spreadsheet.

Can I jump in to? Am about to migrate fomr on-premise to o365 with bit titan and reading through their documentation their is a recommendation to "increase EWS throttling limits" when migrating to office 365 by contacting MS.

Has anyone needed to do this? we are on fibre 100/100 and obviously id like the migration to go as quickly as possible!

This forum post came up in Google; and I have successfully migrated several of my customers already :)

Sing out if you need help; It's a bit of a learning curve to configure, but once you have it sussed, its easy.
