What's the difference between the Oxygen updater and the normal OS update process?

Oxygen Updater just downloads the zip file from OnePlus(you can also just get it from oneplus as well people usually put a link to it on the oneplus community forums) from there you use the normal os updater but you click on the gear in the top right of the update screen and press local upgrade find the ZIP and it will install it for you.

Only thing I can tell that is diffrent is when you wait for the phone to tell you there is an update after installing the update when you go back to the updater you can view the changelog however when you download the ZIP and locally install the changelog will be empty later, so not really a big issue.

The only reason the roll out is staged as it is is so that if there is an issue affecting like 10% of people(bricked phones etc) the manufacturer can pull the update so that they only have to deal with a much smaller number of people than if they pushed it out to everyone at once.

I was wondering if there are any other OnePlus 6 owners having problems with LastPass.

My problems started after upgrading to Pie, since when no LastPass pop-ups pop up meaning I have to manually copy across passwords when logging into sites in Chrome. So frustrating, especially since LastPass now works properly on my iPad!

I have tried Chrome Beta, which did fix this LastPass issue but also caused the phone to frequently freeze (even when not using Chrome).

If anyone's experienced this, were you able to find any workable solutions?

darthkram: I can't say I've had any issues with LastPass since updating, have you tried toggling it off and on in the Android Menu System->Accessibility?

I'm not the biggest fan of the auto popup, my preferred way is to use the quick settings LastPass toggle. I've got it positioned on the left below the date in the notification pulldown, tapping it forces LastPass to evaluate the screen there and then and shows the auto fill popup including an option to search for the site/app if it couldn't be auto detected.

So I'm at a dilemma, pbtech have the Oneplus6 on sale for $879 this weekend for the 128gb version. I've been holding out for the 6t which is due to be announced in what 9 days?

Do I stick with my aging galaxy s6 and wait for the 6t or just dive in at this nice price.

Depends more on if the changes are worthwhile for you. The 6 will still be a great phone

If you want the in screen finger print reader, smaller notch or bigger battery wait for the 6t

If you want a headphone jack or don't really care about any of the above save some cash and get the 6

For me if i had to make your choice i would wait, personally I want my finger print reader on the front of the screen the back has always been a bad location but to me that is the only major advantage over the 6(at least from what has been announced) I don't have any issues with the battery life on the 6 and loosing the headphone jack for it is a bummer.

Yes I have to agree the camera on the 6 is a lot better than the 5t.  The 5t had this awful oil painting effect that you could really notice.  I just got back from a holiday a couple of weeks ago and was looking over the photos i took on the 6 and they were really good :)

It seems like the final release is out only a day or so after the beta version, and it brings a bunch of interesting changes from the 6T  - the one that interests me the most is introducing Nightscape for improved low-light photos a la Pixel 3's Night Sight. Also interested to see what the changes to the gestures are, as I already find them useful.

The frustrating thing is, only a few weeks after being told about Oxygen Updater on this thread, that app's no longer working due to some changes made by OnePlus.

So are we safe to use the direct download link given near the bottom of that webpage linked to above?

Anyway, the  list of changes given are:

• Brand new navigation gestures
• Improved UI for About phone
• Optimized standby power consumption
• Updated Android security patch to 2018.11
• Added support to launch Google Assistant or other third party assistant app by holding the power button for 0.5 seconds

Can anyone help me resolve a dilemma I'm having with trying to automatically silent my OnePlus 6 while at work?

I'm using a geofence trigger in Macrodroid, which has been set to enable 'do not disturb' mode. I've had to use this as I can't set the volume to zero (as the phone can only be silenced via the hardware switch). Up until recently this worked perfectly, but in the last while (assuming it dates back to the upgrade to Pie) my phone no longer provides me the standard ability to accept/reject the call - rather, I now have to click up in the notification bar to do this; a mighty hassle!

I've tried some obvious workarounds like using Macrodroid to set the ringtone and notifications to 'none' instead of enabling 'do not disturb', but I currently (and would like to continue to) use app-set notification tones for email and messages, neither of which are affected by this approach.

Is there some way to set things up so that I can automatically fully silence my phone while at work, while still also being able to have the standard accept/reject screen when a call comes through? I'd prefer to do so using Macrodroid as other than this it's working really well.

d3Xt3r: Not sure if it'll be suitable for you, but I just use a Do Not Disturb rule for working hours and it works like a charm - irrespective of the alert slider position. It silences everything, except for the exceptions I've set.

Thanks for your reply; it made me go back and review my 'do not disturb' settings, and I found it was set to a customised notifications setting that didn't allow any notifications - this is why there was no option to accept/reject the call on the screen! I changed it so all notifications are simply silenced and it's working perfectly, so thanks for this!

(I was using 'do not disturb' for work - just having MacroDroid turn it on automatically when entering a geofenced area around work, as opposed to having it time-based; I don't always arrive or leave at the same time of day, so it's useful to have it based on physical location.)
