I suspect that some of this goes back to something pointed out by @stevob here last year.

When doing a WHOIS, some Quic subnets have the country set as US, not NZ. i.e. 5.134.84.0/23 is US but others show as NZ. If any website uses this to determine geolocation then it may create a problem.

A couple of other sites that get tripped up are https://www.aliexpress.com/ and https://www.windy.com/

I've had issues with reddit and disney+ as well, including weirdness with netflix and youtube.

@SavageNZL What issues with Netflix and YouTube? I just forced my connection to IPv4 only and things worked perfectly with both. This may be another issue again (edit - keep the discussion to your previous thread)

I also tested Disney+ over IPv4 and things work well there too. Does anyone else still have issues here?

Yes, app won't load on phone on wifi still (the phone app initially flashed up a regional error message; but crashed before I could screenshot it).

The website now does this:

That's progress; but still not working. Having said that, it's not been 3 to 5 days yet.

Youtube when opening the app will just open the app blank screen with loading circle until force restart and itll load fine.
Netflix slow to buffer and pixelated, today its buffering about 10% and then won't load anything else.
Disney plus, cant login or view anything on the app, on desktop the website just opens a blank screen, but if manually going to a show, it will load the info page but you cant login or watch anything.
Reddit, get the warning message and cant view anything without being logged in.

@SavageNZL Yeah I fully think that is either your router, or something on your network as per your other post.

Netflix for me and everyone I know is super quick. You should go to https://fast.com to test your speed to the Netflix cache you're connecting to. This could also be impacted by using a Smart DNS service.

YouTube - I'm watching 4K content fine right now. It works well on all my devices.

Disney+ should hopefully be fixed soon as per my post before. With Reddit a number of us have submitted a correction but Reddit are just outright useless but a workaround via logging in works fine.

As per your other post you're using a thin client as your router with Gigabit PPPoE and I'm afraid this will stretch it quite a bit. I think IPoE (DHCP) is around the corner and should help your case quite a bit. But anyway this is way off topic of this thread and instead post in your previous thread: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=194&topicid=311591 (and try another router).

Router had same configs with onenz and no issues before swapping.
netflix built in diagnosis says no connection to server 1 but 90mbps to server 2. (People suggest changing DNS but ive tried 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8)
Once i restart the app it works completely fine, only happens on galaxy s23 and google pixel 6a but once app has reopened no issues.
waiting for the D+ fix and reddit login is fine, just more confirming OP is not alone. (Im also wellington based)
I upgraded to a 8500T cpu which is 3x more single thread performance then my original thin client, so shouldnt be an issue now. (Speedtests to chorus auckland is stable 900+ 500+)

My Disney+ is working now; presumably thanks to your email @michaelmurfy.

However, a little surprised and a bit disappointed I've still not heard anything at all from Quic re the fault I raised on their website, tbh.

@jamesrt they’ve been working on a whole lot of stuff so not surprised. They’re only a small team hence why I help them out. There will be another fix put through tonight that may fix other things too.

Glad it’s working though!

Kinda sick of switching to mobile data to read Reddit TBH. Wasn't what I had in mind when I got Hyperfibre. Is there more that Quic can be doing to get to the root cause and lobby these services to update thier blaklists? I have logged two requests with Reddit and it's crickets and tumbleweed.

My 'normal' Reddit works as I'm logged in. It was only an issue on one browser which wasn't logged in.

You could try https://old.reddit.com/ to go via their old interface which I think didn't filter the IP.

I don't have an account. And old Reddit doesn't work beyond the front page. If you tap/click on anything it blocks you.

@squareeyes123 that’s a really simple fix don’t you think? Set up an account, login with that account and problem solved…

Reddit are to be frank pretty useless. I swear multiple people have logged tickets with them. They’ll get there eventually.

the login link is here: https://www.reddit.com/login/

@theviper you seriously need to do more investigation there to work out -why- they are not working because as a Plex user myself I’ve never had any issues. The arrowhead alarm I can’t comment on. But I fully bet my bottom dollar it’s something on your end preventing this from working well.
