I did, its not good enough. So, add up the average of the players who scored at 80SR or better. Now add 1-2 more of those players to the team, whilst also removing the players diluting our averages.

How did this team win the Champions Trophy? I know Matt Henry is bowling insanely good for someone who has had little cricket of late, but some of this shots should not be played. Plenty of places to get a single instead.

If you change players to incease the overall average it doesn’t really add a lot. We have a sound team but boult is probably the only star . So the only op order needs to perform every game to make up fir that but they don’t. It’s the way of a small country that punches above our weight , it’s still not feel enough . Rarely will it be.

Or we replace the players in our team consistently not performing with ones that are and make sense.

I have no doubt Phillips will replace Latham at some point. Im unsure if they will keep Santner. But if they do they could actually drop Ferguson in favour of another high scoring 1st class player like Worker.

Adding 60-80 runs in 40 balls isnt going to hurt our team :-).

Pakistan still in with a chance of savings this last game, just. They bat so deep, I just dont know how they have been so bad in NZ. Perhaps its the long season syndrome.

i think the BlackCaps have a great base for a team. They just need to follow Aus line up and fill the middle order with the some batsmen who score runs rather than blocking and waiting around. Thats what the opposition has done against us and it doesnt work.

Im just glad the Aus/Eng game is on. Eng looking good so far to keep Aus below 300.

Aus looked like cruising to 320+ with a stacked batting squad. Eng have bowled unbelievable in the final 15.

No cummins or hazlewood, Eng on paper should cruise home for a series win after the ashes loss, but you never know with Starc bowling.

Just watched the recoded last 30 overs.

You judge a player game by game, thats your issue. They arent machines. An average of 30 isnt 30 every game, note that.

Unsure they will keep Santner? He is one of hardly any ranked players we have. Was awesome this game as you will know. Wickers, tight, variation in bowl, speed and flight. Heard brilliant a few times in the commentary. 

Adding 80 runs on 40 balls wont hurt our team? 200% SR over what we get? Dreaming mate.

They are so bad for these reasons. 1) Young enthusiastic inexperienced team, according to their coach. 2) In new atmospheric conditions, and pitch conditions. As you know, we make our pitches for us. That why

Paki's showed us how to finish a match.

Santner was great. Sir Mitch. A growing talent. He has visions being a genuine all rounder, so thats a bonus.

Like I suggested a few nights ago, maybe too many Fanta's!

In his defence, I like the passion, but it reminds me of a MotoGP race a few years back, when Rossi took out Casey Stoner. Stoner walked to his garage and told him "your speed is greater than your talent" I think the same applies here. T'Leaf's passion exceeds the math.  

England showing us what Im talking about. Making Aus look like chumps. There number 10 has 10 1st class centuries. Both batsman either 6RPO or more. Its not hard. One boundary and just hit it down the ground for 5 singles. We just need 1-2 more fast scoring batsmen. I really think Philips could be all thats needed.

Eng will hit Santner for 100 off his 10 overs as they have are taking all Aus spinners to town. I think we should drop him for this Tri series as it will dent his confidence.

Eng on par for 330-350 scores like they were the last game. They just so hard to contain with batsmen hitting minimum 6rpo
