Hi there, we're sorry to hear you've had trouble with adjusting your credit card limit on FastNet Classic. You shouldn't be able to adjust your limit below your balance. We'd like to investigate this - are you able to send us an email with some more info so we can get our tech team to take a look? you can email us at social.media@asb.co.nz.

Kind regards,

Indeed. They are also very proactive on Twitter, and I've got personal experience of them turning a ranty tweet into a positive customer service experience.

If only Subway were so positive.  I had to complain to Subway corporate in the USA once because their local people weren't interested

Since you're here ASB, how about doing something about the ridiculousness that is case-INSENSITIVE passwords for online banking?

timmmay: ...but joining a forum to complain may be overkill.

Maybe s/he is like me and been lurking here for years, feeling already part of the debate team long before their first public post Tongue Out

[edit] Funnily enough, I just slammed a huge payment on my own c/c today and got Kiwibank to lower my limit too... but I did that over the phone to safely avoid the aforementioned issue. With all the wonders of the digital age it still irks me at times that banking systems are not able to be updated in real time like any other online transaction.

If that were the case, they should be aware of the FUG rule that specifically states that Geekzone is not a soapbox and that posters may be banned if their first post is a rant about a company.

Let's see if they come back now that they've had their vent...

This is true. But he didn't.
I can see why he'd post in frustration, CS are not actually listening to the issue.

"The balance was updated, this explains how I could adjust to lower limit. "

I'd probably think twice about it after reading yours Wink

There's been a number of banking related posts this week (including one I myself started LOL) so it's not like it's off-theme or anything. Can't we try and be nice to the newcomer and not pre-judge?
