See if it reports:

Ah yes it does, I was only pinging Google before

Pinging Google IPv6 DNS (2001:4860:4860::8888) will get you a response from Sydney.

@mentalinc The firewall rules should be already under "interfaces ethernet eth0 pppoe 0" if you've set it before:

since we've never deleted the firewall group. Did you get this working? I am pretty sure I set the same firewall rules on this router successfully. Note, I am running no-dns on this connection only since we're running a PiHole here too (it is an exact clone of my network at home down to the switch and even oDroids).

I'm using the most used backup! I took a backup before i tried with the IPv6 stuff.

Everytime it didn't work I rolled back to the backup so enter everything into a never ipv6 touched system.

So will do firewall rules tonight

then the setup you pasted at stupid oclock this morning (thanks for the dedication!).

But i got it working briefly (so it does work!)

but if you i think do one of the following ipv6 breaks

reboot
enter "configuration" via ssh
enter webui (to be confirmed/double checked )

I was able to get it up and running. I reset the router, and re-ran through the setup posted this morning and it works just fine. I'm now working on the firewall rules, but I seem to be good to go, thank you again for all the help!

Interesting.. I've updated the firewall rules in the text file with the one I am using (https://murfy.nz/files/er_v6.txt), this router appears to be stable (did quite a few reboots to test) and also jumped into configure to set something I had forgot then and IPv6 is still there. I wouldn't think that firewall rules would cause it but it may well do.

I am literally running "drop all except related and established" on my home connection so even ICMPv6 is blocked so appears there are some bugs in the Edgerouter related to IPv6. Really hoping these are fixed with Firmware 2.0.

Up and running on IPv6 on a Netcomm NF8AC. Settings as basically the same as the NetComm NF4V on the first page of this thread.

I didn't actually have to change anything at my end, just rebooted my modem once Bigpipe had enabled me.

IPvFoo is a great little Chrome extension to see which sites are being accessed by IPv4 or IPv6.

Up and running on my Mikrotik (IPoE)

pretty simple, enable package, create firewall, setup DHCP client on WAN interface, specify same pool on LAN bridge/s and hey presto clients are using SLAAC

Up and running finally, looks to be more stable now.

Will give it a few more reboots over the coming days but seems the flakyness has gone!

I just lost my v6 connectivity on pfSense after nearly 2 days of solid operation. v4 connectivity was still working when I noticed.

It came back soon after I cycled the WAN interface.

I'll add IPv6 monitoring to my local instance of PRTG and see how it goes

That's an odd one. Do your router logs show anything that might give a clue as to why? Would be great if you could post them if they do.

Has anyone else noticed any intermittency with their v6 connectivity? Our internal staff testers haven't reported any such trouble as of yet.

And example of this is youtube where sometimes the video I want to watch will load, along with the comments, but no video previews will load in the right-hand column.

Using the BigPipe modem with both IPv4 and IPv6 enabled.

That sounds like it could be one of the known bugs. When v6 is enabled on the Bigpipe modem it will announce an IPv6 DNS server to the LAN, but not respond to queries sent to it (yay, technology!). You should be able to get around this by setting our v6 DNS servers manually on your devices. They're 2403:9800:c041:1000::a and 2403:9800:c041:1000::b

I actually set those a few days ago. Sadly, it is not helping the situation :(

I have two machines. One is running Firefox and the other Chrome. Only Chrome seems to be affected by the problem as far as I can tell

Unfortunately the old logs have already been overwritten:( I've just configured log forwarding so hopefully I'll be able to get some more info if it happens again
