So what exactly is going on then? How come some guy came to our place and almost got us online? If there are no ports how can any of this happen? also anyone know about the work being done in the area?

No idea why, Ill call chorus later on when im at work and see.
Why someone came over, IDK. The order has no errors as is 100% correct.
No work to up[grade the xDSL gear. Fibre will be going in soon so not viable to splash 60k at a new line card.

All my investigations/internal conversations show there are spare Broadband ports on the cabinet, but not spare VDSL ports.  All waiters are currently VDSL waiters, awaiting a new card (not sure if there is capacity for that).  I've advised the OP of this over the last few weeks and asked for a reference number for the order to ensure it is an EUBA New Connection.  Or to cancel the previous order and place a new order (ensuring it is for ADSL2+).

If I'm supplied with something I can use to find the order, I'll follow up with the team.

Hi did the number I send you work? We have no other reference number :( I honestly have no idea what other numbers to supply. Surely our address and that phone number I gave you were enough? Wouldn't mind being on broadband rather than VDSL. How can I get a OOT Id or ASID?

So the issue is pretty much as summarised very on in this thread - no VDSL2 due to a lack of ports but ADSL2+ is available to anybody in the area.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Seems to be. We got the indication it was a waiter for both. I can change your order to ADSL if it isnt already.

Would like to order whatever will get us internet ASAP. Why did vodafone not tell us that we could get ADSL when we asked for any form of internet? They couldn't even provide dial up or a landline for us!

Dont speculate or question what Vodafone have done without knowing whats behind it. I will be looking into on Monday. By the way. There is a POTS service at your house currently.

As good as all this sounds, we've been given the run around so much it's almost unbearable. Hard to believe we can get internet still. Oh also what is POTS?

Want to keep VDSL order processing or cancel that and go with ADSL? As advised here has free ports for ADSL. Cant guarantee but a reliable source has advised.
