I've had no issues for about 18 months but having one at the moment. I mistakenly paid twice $53, and have asked for a refund, and according to Jay I was refunded in Feb, well in checking my credit card statement I certainly wasn't.

They have refused to answer an additional 3 more requests on the Ticket from me, the 0800 is always engaged, they ignore requests on Twitter, and the local CHC 03 number sounds disconnected.

In the meantime I posted it on Twitter and a company called Host Bee have been watching it too offering their services to disgruntled 24/7 customers, and by looking at the customer reviews on their site (Host Bee), they are all from people fed up with 24/7's service.

24/7 then got into the Twitter act, posting these...

For some reason, the hosting industry in New Zealand attracts some real crackpots who have no business being in business. Seen this so many times.

Wow sounds like 24/7 Hosting have some really mature staff working for them! No point having the experience if you cant resolve basic customer requests!!!

Good news, Kiwibank has reversed my credit card charges for services not received. I had enough evidence from screenshots from the support portal. Now just waiting to see what the Commerce Commission has to say....

What made you sign up with them in the first place?

I currently host my sites in the US and was looking for an equivalently priced service in NZ. When I signed up I was in a bit of a rush and didn't do my research!! Luckily I hadn't cancelled my old service so just switched my DNS back over. I was lucky, but many others seem much worse off so I hope something can be done about it.

Good news.

Congrats!

I will go to the ANZ today and I will ask if it is possible to 'reverse' my transaction also.

Nice to hear

I've had a mix of experiences over the last 2 years with 24/7- great pricing, fairly solid service, usually pretty good tech support.

But recently... permanently engaged 0800, local number disconnected, disappearing tech support tickets, credit card autopayment no longer available etc etc.

I too had hostbee tweet me after I complained on twitter.

So, anybody with HostBee experiences?

Ps. It is truly a massive PITA trying to find a host that will stay good and not bump their prices through the roof. I was with HostingDirect previously and all great for years...until they sold up to OpenHost and pricing jumped 33% in one day without notice.
