edenLOL: I don't know if you guys know this, as most androids don't have a hardware based way to do this...

By pressing the POWER and home screen button at the same time, you can take a screen shot of everything on your screen.

Oh cheers, I was wondering what the combo was

for the original Galaxy S it was home and back, i never thought to try the Power one

I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

Ambrose_1: Has anyone else had problems with the phone hanging. It has happened to me about 3 or 4 times now, been using it fine then put it to sleep and go to use it again and it won't turn on or respond at all. Pop the battery out and boot it back up and its sweet.

I've had some games hang on me, but I've always been able to long press on the home button, bring up the task manager and kill the app. Certainly nothing as bad as what you've had.

Ill have to wait and see if it keeps doing it, otherwise I might have to warrenty it. I'd have to unroot it too.

Hello everyone, noob member to the forum, but long time stalker when searching for information :)

I've been holding off getting a smartphone for almost a year now, but have finally placed the order for the Samsung Galaxy S2. Hoping to get it end of next week.

In the mean time, just swotting up on how to customise the b@!p out of it :D so will be asking lots of n00b questions. Apologies in advance.

And in true girl style, I'm in love with that Sena case, now I just need to pick which colour! ;)

Was very surprised at the result of this benchmark after installing the latest S2 update, no custom roms, nothing:

yeh seems to be hitting the mid 3k's easily on KE2

re that sena pouch .. pricy, but i have found in the past mossimo tend to blatently rip off the ultra slim pouch with their own NZ$20 one ... but i've yet to find one for the SGS2 ... my HTC desire just happened to fit snugly into their generic "large phone" one that Orb/Blueco sold ..

but meh .. that sena one looks perfect.

I had one of those slim, hard plastic cases with a rubberised coating for my SGS which I bought on the internet. It was a great case but I can't remember the site I bought it from and googling for it is harder than you would expect.

I would like the same sort of case for the SGSII. The manufacturers may not have geared up yet to make these given the SGSII is so new but if anyone sees a site with these, I would be grateful if you could post info here. Anyway I think it would be good to share info on all types of cases.

Someone on the Aussie Whirlpool site posted this link which shows the gel cases. I also think XDA has a thread for accessories and there are a number of different ebay sellers with the cases.

Just trolling other forums and came across this. It looks quite nice. And it's an official case and appears from the posters comments, to be cheaper than the case for the original SGS.

The interesting thing about benchmarks is that you can never get a useful result from a single run. You always need to do several runs and average the results.

For example, I just did 10 runs of Quadrant in a row and got results ranging from 3249 to 3682. The average (mean) score was 3446, but I didn't have a single run's score come anywhere near this. The closest scores were more than 90 points away.

Having said that, an average Quadrant score of over 3400 is mighty impressive for any phone on the market today. Especially when the phone is running stock firmware and is not overclocked.
